The Role

We are looking for a Mechanic/MOT Tester to join our small, independent garage. You must be able to confidently handle clutch, cambelt, service, and MOT repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Mechanic / MOT
Tester include, but are not limited to:
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems in vehicles.
Carry out regular maintenance and servicing of vehicles.
Test and inspect vehicles to ensure they meet legal standards.
Carry out MOT tests and issue certificates.
Identify any additional work required and carry out repairs.
Keep accurate records of work completed.
Advise customers on repair and maintenance options.
Keep up to date with the latest advances in automotive technology.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Mechanic /
MOT Tester are:
Must have own tools and previous experience in the motor trade.
Knowledge of safety precautions and procedures.
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems.
Knowledge of automotive repair techniques and tools.
Knowledge of engine management systems.
Ability to carry out routine servicing and maintenance.
